True Lemon lemonade drink mix review

We've been carrying True Lemon drink mixes on our backpacking trips for about a year and we really like them. Light, compact, and simple, these drink mixes have become a staple on our backpacking trips.
We search out products that are lightweight, compact, and durable as well as being vegan, simple, and healthful. We think that the delicious line of mixes from the independent company True Lemon are great in these respects.
The list of ingredients on a True Lemon lemonade packet is short. From the True Lemon website:
"Ingredients: Crystallized Lemon [Citric Acid, Malic Acid, Lactic Acid, Tartaric Acid, Lemon Oil, Lemon Juice, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)], Organic Evaporated Cane Juice, Natural Lemon Flavor, Rebiana (Stevia)*, Guar Gum and Color Added.
Contains Soy.
*100% Natural Sweetener from the Stevia plant
No Preservatives   Gluten Free "
We think that is pretty great. The Stevia is a great addition, is it is all natural and far more compact and light than sugar. We can hardly taste the difference, especially when we are backpacking. I actually started using Stevia in my cowboy coffee when backpacking thanks to these qualities.

We prefer to remove the air from the packets, however. Removing the air allows them to take up less space, become more flexible for packing, and makes them less likely to rupture. We found the simplest way to remove the air from the True Lemon packets is to poke a tiny hole in them with a pin and seal it back up with some invisible tape. Be sure to get all of the drink mix down to the opposite end of the packet first.

UPDATE: There has been some questions about True Lemon (now True Citrus) containing lactose, which is derived from cows. The official statement from Heidi Carney at True citrus is that

"All True Citrus products are made with 100% natural ingredients and do not contain any artificial colors or preservatives, animal by-products, lactose, gluten or sodium."
